On November 2nd, Guardian Inc. was announced as the winner of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion award at the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan (BCCJ) British Business Awards 2023
DEI award presented by HM Ambassador to Japan, Julia Longbottom CMG. Congratulations to the fellow winners, and huge thanks to so many people in attendance for many kind words and encouragement. Within the DEI category, it was so inspiring to have even been nominated alongside amazing women who are breaking the mold with their pioneering DEI initiatives.
The BBA 2023 theme of “Challenge the ordinary, achieve the extraordinary” truly embodies Guardian’s journey. As a company, we hope that through kimino micata and our diversity workshops, we can create a society where children from diverse backgrounds are respected, and can thrive in a comfortable environment despite their differences. Recognition and support is crucial to opening people’s eyes and to help pave the way for a massive change here in Japan.
